Online Dialogues and Forums

Online dialogues are excellent tools for acquiring information and public opinion on a specific topic, and for allowing transit agencies and state personnel to have an active say in the formulation of regulations and best practices. Dialogues and forums are an effective way to network and form partnerships.

Some organizations that have historically administered online dialogues, and may in the future, include:

National Aging and Disability Transportation Center-Resources, Webinars and Technical Assistance for senior and disability transportation.

Federal Transit Administration-Transit Asset Management Dialogue.

US Department of Transportation-dialogues on MAP-21 related topics, other regulations.

Some forums of interest to rural and tribal transit professionals are:

AASHTO’s Multistate Technical Assistance Program (MTAP) is a forum of state DOT personnel who provide technical assistance, and share it here.

FTA's Drug and Alcohol Discussion Forum.

National RTAP's State RTAP Managers' Forum is a hub for the exchange of ideas, questions, and documents between RTAP Managers.
