Neil Rodriguez joined the National Rural Transit Assistance Program as a Project Manager in September 2014. Neil led the initial development and management of the National RTAP eLearning management system. In 2020, he transitioned to the role of Tribal Transit Program Manager. He currently serves on the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Rural, Intercity Bus, and Specialized Transportation Committee (AP055) and the Standing Committee on Native American Transportation Issues (AME30).

 

Previously, Neil was the Director at a regional community development organization overseeing program delivery to remote communities in Western Alaska. He also worked as a Regional Economist at the Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District. Neil has over 23 years of experience in community development, outreach, community planning, project management, program development, data collection and analysis. Neil is also a successful entrepreneur having founded a consulting firm that specializes in economic development, project management, fundraising and regulatory affairs.

 

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and American Studies from Brandeis University.
