National RTAP has the following free tools to help your transit organization. Two-Variable Cost Allocation Calculator

Enables users to input service, financial and operational data to allocate expenses by routes, travel modes, jurisdictions, and more. The output can be used for NTD reporting. The calculator also generates performance measures, determines fully allocated costs, and is scalable to your transit system.

GTFS Builder

Helps transit agencies put their route and schedule data into the General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) format and get it online, making their services more visible and allowing riders to plan trips on sites like Google Maps. Instructional videos walk you through the process.

Guides transit agencies and state DOTs through FTA procurement procedures. Users enter basic project information and they receive the required Federal clauses and certifications. Checklists and guidance are also available. States can set up their own portal with specific thresholds and requirements.

Rural Integrated National Transit Database (iNTD)

Compiles multiple years of NTD data and allows transit providers, state DOTs, and researchers to easily retrieve and analyze data. Users can select variables for Section 5311 recipients/subrecipients. Performance measures relevant to rural systems are included and there is a tool to assist users in finding comparable  transit agencies for benchmarking. Rural iNTD was created by Florida International University for Florida DOT, and was sponsored by National RTAP.

RideSheet

RideSheet is a simple, spreadsheet-based tool for operating and reporting on small demand-response transportation services. RideSheet serves as a database for tracking Trips, Runs, Customers, Drivers, Vehicles, and Services. Past data is moved to review and then archived, allowing for a comprehensive record of all trips and runs. It can automatically produce reports from trip data and calculate billable trip duration and mileage. It can be configured to handle multiple funding sources and services, and customized to fit your organization's reporting needs.
