Rural and Tribal Capital Projects Training

When and Where: April 22-24, 2024 in Spokane, Washington

Location and Room Block: Davenport Grand Hotel, 333 West Spokane Falls Blvd, Spokane, Click here for the $127/night GSA rate (limited)

Cost: $250 - includes continental breakfast, buffet lunch, beverage station

Instructors: Michia Casebier, M.G. Tech-Writing, LLC; Steven Matthews, The Akana Group; and Todd Macalady, SW TTAP

Relying heavily on the FTA Construction Project Management Handbook, this 2.5 day workshop offers guidance to those taking on sizable construction projects despite limited prior experience.

Attendees will be introduced to transit capital development and construction project management principles through all phases: project initiation and scoping, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process, project funding, solicitation writing, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

Attendees will learn how to: administer their projects via in-house staff or consultant contractors, complete projects on time and within budget, and comply with FTA requirements. See this Training Flyer for the more information, including the schedule.
