Passenger Information: Calaveras Connect
Calaveras Connect operates a combination of deviated fixed-route and demand-response service over a very rural county. Some services only operate one or two days per week. It was important to capture all of this information in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand transit guide that could be distributed throughout the county.
The map and schedules from the guide were also used to create displays for Calaveras Connect’s two major transfer stops. The displays were digitally printed and placed in standard display panels that were attached to the back of the shelters.
Customized schedule displays were also created for each bus stop. They showed the times the bus served the specific stop. (This level of information is very helpful on routes with limited frequency.)
A basic background template, including a system map, was created and then customized in Microsoft Publisher to add the specific stop name, route, and times for each stop.
